Arizona Quail Hunt
Stay at a privately owned 3000 acre ranch located 20 miles from legendary Tombstone, an area rich with the history of Lawmen, Soldiers, Indians, and Gunfighters. This timeless scenery has been backdrop for many classic American tales such as the epic shoot out at the O.K. Corral and Tom Horn scouting for the Cavalry in search of the dreaded Apache Indians led by Geronimo and Chochise. Cattle baron, Texas John Slaughter, and rascal, Curly Bill killed many a man in this historic American frontier.
To begin your trip,
Big Wood Adventures will pick you at the Tucson Airport and drive you the short distance to The Ranch. Upon arrival be assured that your refreshment needs and desires will be accommodated to the extreme. A typical day might unfold with you awaking on the porch of the Ranch house after a night around the mesquite-crackling campfire. You smell the aroma of fine French Roast and your taste buds come alive with anticipation. Whether it’s a scrumptious continental breakfast on the go, or the full on, sit down, artery clogging breakfast blowout, you will certainly be wondering if you came for the food or was it the great quail hunting??! The Morning Hunt will come next. (Be careful, those darn Quail are lurking everywhere!) Depending of on how the season shapes up, you might very well be "limited" in a short period of time, so perhaps its time to take a drive into Tombstone, or perhaps just hop over the border for a fast and inexpensive shopping trip to Mexico. "Look at the time, let’s go back for the Afternoon Hunt" might be heard before too long. After all, you didn’t want to take your "limit of quail" earlier that morning. We are not fooled, Happy Hour and the Evening Meal Menus were posted before you left, and you really haven’t stop thinking about it! All costs exclude airfare to and from Tucson, any incidental personal costs incurred on day trips away from The Ranch, and your Arizona Hunting License.
